GREENCYCLE DR229CL 6-Pack Drum Unit

This set contains six colour drum units built as replacements for the Brother DR229CL model. Each unit is rated for approximately 30000 pages at .05 coverage on letter-size paper. The drums are designed for laser printers including the HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW. They are sold without toner cartridges.

Included accessories and documentation

The package supplies the six drum units plus a user manual that explains how to combine each drum with a separate toner cartridge. Installation steps describe unpacking, shaking the toner, removing the protective cover, inserting the cartridge into the drum and seating the assembly in the printer. No toner cartridges, waste containers or cleaning tools are bundled.

Practical limits of the drum interface

These drums are mechanical components that wear independently of the toner supply, so print quality will degrade after the rated yield regardless of how much toner remains. They are not compatible with printers outside the listed Brother colour laser series. Buyers who need monochrome-only drums or higher-yield units cannot use this product.

Questions about this item

How often will the DR229CL drum unit need replacement?

Each drum unit is rated for approximately 30000 pages at .05 coverage, so replacement depends on your monthly print volume.

What is the first limit reached during continuous printing?

The 30000-page yield per drum is the primary limit; after that the photosensitive surface degrades and print quality drops.

Does the drum unit add noticeable heat or noise during all-day operation?

The drum itself has no moving parts or power draw; heat and noise come from the printer engine, not the DR229CL unit.
