Eight-Pack Colour Drum Kit

The GREENCYCLE DR229CL eight-pack supplies four colour drums — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — in two complete sets for Brother laser printers. It targets offices and design teams that run high monthly volumes and want to keep a full spare set on hand. Buyers who only need a single replacement drum or who print fewer than a few thousand pages a month will find the quantity excessive.

Rated Yield of 30000 Pages

Each drum unit is rated for up to 30000 pages at .05 coverage on A4 or Letter paper. That figure is the decisive specification: it tells you whether the drum will last through your typical print cycle before image quality degrades. If your workload demands a longer or shorter rated life, this pack does not match the requirement.

Drums Only, No Toner Included

The box contains eight drum units and a user manual; toner cartridges are not supplied. You must purchase or retain compatible toner separately and install it into each drum before use. The omission means the pack cannot restore printing on its own — it only refreshes the imaging components.

Questions about this item

What does the 30000-page yield mean for daily printing on a Brother HL-L3220CDW?

The 30000-page rating is measured at .05 coverage on A4 or Letter paper. Typical mixed documents use more toner per page, so actual output will be lower.

Does the DR229CL drum unit use a chip or mechanical interface to communicate with an MFC-L3780CDW?

The drum unit fits the Brother DR229CL slot mechanically; the printer reads the installed toner cartridge chip for page counting and status.

Will the eight-pack of colour drums fit inside an HL-L8245CDW without extra brackets?

Each DR229CL drum matches the original Brother dimensions and locks directly into the four colour slots of the HL-L8245CDW.
