What this is and who it fits

The GREENCYCLE DR229CL drum unit four-pack supplies black, cyan, magenta and yellow drums rated for 30000 pages each at .05 coverage. It is built for owners of Brother HL-L3220CDW, HL-L3280CDW, HL-L3295CDW, HL-L3300CDW, HL-L8245CDW, MFC-L3720CDW, MFC-L3765CDW, MFC-L3780CDW and MFC-L8395CDW laser printers who want a direct replacement without buying toner cartridges.

When a drum change makes sense

A drum unit wears independently of toner, so replacing only the drum restores print consistency when backgrounds turn grey or streaks appear across all colours. The jump is worth it when the printer flags drum life or when output quality drops while toner levels still read adequate. Buyers who need toner included should look elsewhere because this pack contains drums alone.

Limits of the laser drum interface

Each drum is rated to 30000 pages at standard coverage; heavy graphics or solid fills will reduce that figure. The unit has no chip that reports remaining life to the printer, so the machine relies on its internal page counter. Compatibility is limited to the listed Brother models; other Brother colour lasers use different drum geometries and will not accept this unit.
