Questions about this item

Which Brother printer models accept the TN450 toner and DR420 drum combo?

The set works with HL-2270DW, HL-2280DW, HL-2230, HL-2240, MFC-7860DW, MFC-7360N, DCP-7065DN, Intellifax 2840 and 2940, plus the other models listed in the compatibility list.

Can I keep using my existing DR420 drum when the TN450 toner runs out?

Yes, the drum unit is rated for up to 12,000 pages at 5% coverage, so it will typically outlast several TN450 toner cartridges rated at 2,600 pages each.

How do I confirm the cartridge and drum are printing correctly after installation?

Print a test page; you should see solid black text at the rated 5% coverage density with no streaks or faded areas, matching the 2,600-page toner yield specification.
