Compatible TN460 Toner and DR400 Drum Set

The GREENCYCLE set supplies a black toner cartridge and a separate drum unit built to replace Brother TN460 and DR400 originals. It is aimed at owners of listed Brother laser printers who want a ready-to-install monochrome supply kit.

Check Printer Model Before Ordering

Verify that your machine appears in the compatible list covering DCP, HL, Intellifax and MFC series such as 1200, 1240, 1400, 4100, 4750, 5750, 8300, 8500, 8700, 9600, 9700, 9750, 9800 and related model numbers. The cartridge and drum are sold as a matched pair and must be used together.

Thermals Noise and Power in Normal Use

Laser printing fuses toner with heat, so the printer will warm during long runs; the cartridge and drum themselves add no extra fan noise or power draw beyond the printer’s normal operation. Yield is rated at 6000 pages for the toner and 20000 pages for the drum at five percent coverage.

Questions about this item

Does the package contain both the toner and drum, or must I order the DR400 drum separately?

The set ships with one TN460 black toner cartridge and one DR400 drum unit in the same box, so nothing extra is required for installation.

I see two page-yield numbers — 6,000 and 20,000 — which one applies to the toner and which to the drum?

The TN460 toner is rated for 6,000 pages and the DR400 drum for 20,000 pages, both measured at 5% coverage on Letter/A4 paper.

After I install the set, how many pages can I expect before the toner runs out under normal office use?

Under typical 5% coverage printing the TN460 cartridge should deliver about 6,000 pages before it needs replacing, while the drum continues to 20,000 pages.
