For monochrome laser owners needing high-volume

Offices and home users who print large quantities of black-only documents will appreciate the combined yield. Buyers who need colour output, MICR encoding, or a single cartridge rather than a twin pack should consider other options.

6000-page toner yield per cartridge

The headline figure of 6000 pages per TN460 cartridge at 0.05 coverage determines how often the toner must be replaced. Match this number to your monthly print volume to decide if the twin-pack quantity suits your workflow.

Questions about this item

How do I install the TN460 toner into the DR400 drum unit and what step is often missed?

Shake the new toner cartridge 6-8 times, remove the orange protective cover, then insert the cartridge firmly into the drum unit until it clicks; the missed step is forgetting to shake the toner first.

When will the DR400 drum unit need replacement after the toner runs out?

Each DR400 drum unit yields up to 20000 pages at 5% coverage, so it typically lasts through three to four TN460 toner cartridges rated at 6000 pages each.

At what page count does the TN460 toner run out under continuous printing?

The TN460 black toner cartridge is rated for approximately 6000 pages at 5% coverage, so that limit appears first during sustained use.
