Compatible Black Toner Cartridge

This GREENCYCLE W1480A-NC cartridge replaces the HP 148A black toner for LaserJet Pro 4001 and 4101 series printers. It is sold as a single high-yield unit rated for 2900 pages at .05 coverage. The product is new and contains no chip of its own.

Manual Chip Transfer Required

The cartridge ships without a chip so the original HP chip must be removed from the spent OEM cartridge and fitted onto this unit. Without that transfer the printer will not recognise the toner or display remaining page counts. The toner fill itself is machine-measured to match the standard yield.

No-Chip Design Decides Fit

Because the cartridge lacks an integrated chip, it is only suitable for users who can retrieve and reuse an undamaged original chip. Buyers who cannot perform the chip swap or whose original chip is broken will not be able to use this cartridge.

Questions about this item

How do I keep this cartridge working after the original chip wears out?

You must remove the chip from your empty HP 148A cartridge and fit it onto this W1480A-NC unit; the printer will then recognise the toner and show the remaining page count from that chip.

What page count should I expect before print quality drops on the LaserJet Pro 4001 series?

The cartridge is filled for up to 2900 pages at .05 coverage on Letter paper; actual yield varies with graphics density and environmental conditions.

Does the toner run hot or draw extra power during long print runs on the 4101 MFP models?

No additional heat or power draw is introduced; the cartridge uses standard laser print technology and behaves like the original HP 148A supply.
