Carbide-tipped hole cutter drills fast, accurate holes in stainless steel, copper, aluminium and steel up to 4 mm thick
The Greenlee 625 is a carbide-tipped hole cutter built for electricians and metalworkers who need precise conduit openings. Its 1-1/8 inch diameter matches 3/4 inch conduit size and fits a minimum 3/8 inch chuck. Multiple tungsten carbide tips provide long life and smooth cutting across stainless steel, copper, aluminum and steel. A flange stop prevents over-drilling during operation.
This cutter handles a maximum cutting depth of 8 gauge (4 mm) in the listed metals, giving enough headroom for standard electrical boxes and panel work. It runs out when material thickness exceeds that limit or when hole diameters larger than 28.6 mm are required. The replaceable cobalt steel pilot drill with split-point tip resists walking and eliminates the need for a center punch, keeping alignment accurate at the start of each cut.
The included replaceable cobalt steel pilot drill improves performance and can be swapped out when worn, extending the tool's service life. The flange stop controls depth automatically, reducing the risk of breakthrough damage on thin sheet metal. Together, these accessories let the operator start holes cleanly without a separate center punch and maintain consistent depth across repetitive cuts.

The cutter requires a chuck of at least 3/8 in, so any drill with a 3/8 in or larger chuck will accept it.
The flange stop prevents over-drilling and the split-point cobalt pilot drill resists walking, giving a clean, centred hole in stainless steel, copper, aluminium or steel.
A replaceable cobalt steel pilot drill is included; replacement pilot drills are sold separately when the original wears out.
