Scale and subject

This 1/18 scale diecast model replicates the 1955 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 Special finished in black as featured in the 1972 film The Godfather. It is an officially licensed collectible produced by Greenlight for adult hobbyists and cinema enthusiasts.

Who it suits and who it does not

The model appeals to collectors who value film-accurate replicas with opening front doors and a detailed interior. Buyers seeking a toy for younger children or a vehicle without movie provenance should consider other options.

Installation and common issues

No assembly is required; the model arrives in the manufacturer’s original unopened packaging ready for display. The diecast construction with some plastic parts and real rubber tires is fragile, so careless handling can damage small details or scratch the paint finish.

Questions about this item

Does this 1/18 scale Cadillac need a display base or acrylic case to stay upright?

The model stands on its own real rubber tires; no extra base or case is required for it to remain stable on a shelf.

Will the 10.5-inch length fit alongside my older 1/18 scale diecast cars on the same shelf?

At roughly 10.5 inches long it matches standard 1/18 proportions, so it lines up with other 1/18 models without overhang.

How can I confirm the opening front doors and detailed interior are working as intended after unboxing?

Gently swing each front door — they should open smoothly on their hinges — then inspect the dashboard, seats and steering wheel for the factory-applied detail.
