Compatible replacement for NP23LP projectors

The GreenTechLLC NP23LP is a 270W projector lamp designed to replace the original NP23LP module. It fits NEC models including the NP-P401W, NP-P451W and NP-P501X series as well as Dukane 456-6640W and ImagePro 6640W units. Buyers needing a direct-fit lamp for these specific projectors can install this unit without modification.

Rated output and economy mode endurance

The lamp operates at 270 watts and delivers a rated life of 1700 hours in normal mode. Switching to economy mode extends the rated lifespan to 3000 hours, reducing the frequency of replacements during sustained daily use. Brightness will gradually decline over the rated period as with any high-pressure discharge lamp.

Verify the exact projector model before ordering

Confirm that your projector appears in the compatibility list above; the NP23LP fits only the NEC and Dukane models shown. Projectors outside this list, including other NEC series or different brands, will not accept this housing. No other specifications such as voltage or connector type are provided, so model verification is the only check required.

Questions about this item

Does the 270-watt NP23LP lamp run hotter or louder than the original in a NEC NP-P451W?

The replacement matches the OEM 270 W rating, so heat output and fan behaviour stay the same as the original lamp in your NP-P451W.

Which projector models accept this NP23LP lamp without an adapter?

It fits NEC NP-P401W, NP-P451W, NP-P501X, NP-PE501X and Dukane 456-6640W, I-PRO 6640W, I-PRO 6645, I-PRO 6650 series directly.

Will the 1700-hour normal-life rating hold if I keep using my older NEC NP-P401W?

Yes, the 1700-hour normal and 3000-hour economy ratings apply when installed in any listed NEC or Dukane model, including the NP-P401W.
