High-Performance Summer Tyre 285/30R20

The Gripmax SureGrip Pro Sport is a new summer tyre built for passenger cars that need confident dry and wet grip at high speeds. It carries a Y speed rating approved for up to 186 mph and an XL load rating for heavier axle loads. The asymmetric tread pattern uses a 280 UTQG treadwear compound and achieves an A traction grade. Overall diameter measures 26.7 inches on a 20 inch rim.

Drivers seeking maximum summer grip versus

This tyre suits owners of performance-oriented sedans, coupes or crossovers who prioritise dry handling and wet braking during warm months. It is not intended for buyers who need year-round traction in snow or ice, nor for vehicles that require a higher load index than 99. The 9/32 inch tread depth and 50,000 mile treadlife rating indicate a focus on grip over maximum mileage. Run-flat capability is not included.

285/30R20 99Y XL fitment check

The single specification that decides fitment is the complete size designation 285/30R20 with 99Y XL ratings. Verify that your vehicle placard calls for exactly this size, load index and speed rating before purchase. Rim width must be compatible with a 285 mm section width. The tyre is sold individually without a wheel.

Questions about this item

Will the 285/30R20 99Y XL size fit my existing 20-inch rims?

Yes, the tyre is built for a 20-inch rim diameter and the 285 mm section width matches that wheel size. The XL load range and 99 load index support the same vehicle weight as your original equipment specification.

How can I verify the tyre is performing correctly after fitting?

Check that the sidewall shows the 285/30R20 99Y XL markings and the black side wall finish. Confirm the tread depth reads 9/32 inch when new and that the UTQG 280AA rating appears on the label.

Does the purchase include a wheel or only the tyre?

The box contains the tyre only; the rim is not included. You will need to supply or buy a compatible 20-inch wheel separately.
