Guardair 980 Air Gun

The Guardair 980 is a thumb-lever air gun built for workshops that need a focused air stream. Its aluminium body and straight safety tip nozzle deliver a concentrated flow pattern for cleaning or drying tasks. The 1/4 inch FNPT inlet connects directly to standard compressed-air lines.

Safety tip and Whisper Jet nozzle

The included Whisper Jet nozzle limits output thrust to 1 lbf while keeping sound at 89 dB, meeting OSHA pressure compliance. A single aluminium nozzle with a 7/16 inch length produces a straight, focused pattern that reduces scatter and noise during operation.

Users needing OSHA-compliant blow-off

Technicians who require a quiet, compliant air gun for precision blow-off will find this model suitable. Buyers who need multiple nozzle angles, higher thrust, or a different inlet size should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item

How often should the aluminium nozzle tip on the Guardair 980 be inspected or replaced?

The aluminium tip resists wear under normal use; inspect it whenever airflow feels uneven or after dropping the gun.

What limits continuous operation of the 1/4 in FNPT air gun during a full shift?

Sustained use is limited by compressor capacity and the 89 dB sound level, which may require hearing protection over long periods.

How much heat and noise does the Whisper Jet nozzle produce when running all day?

The focused jet stays cool at the tip while the 89 dB output meets OSHA pressure compliance for all-day operation.
