Guardian Platinum Series 36 x 120 Charcoal Mat

This 36 by 120 inch charcoal wiper mat uses 100 percent polypropylene carpet to absorb moisture and dry quickly. Heavy-duty vinyl backing resists slips and stains on low-pile carpet or hard floors. It cleans dirt and moisture from shoes in entrance ways, hallways, lobbies and low-traffic walkways.

Maintenance And Cleaning

Simply vacuum on a high-pile setting or shake the mat out to remove debris. The polypropylene surface releases moisture fast so the mat stays ready for foot traffic. Vinyl backing stays flat and resists staining during daily use.

Not For Heavy Traffic Or Small Spaces

Buyers who need a mat for high-traffic commercial entries should choose a heavier-duty construction. Builders fitting a narrow doorway or a compact vestibule will find the 120 inch length too long for the space.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 36 by 120 mat and what step is often missed?

Unroll it on a clean low-pile carpet or hard floor with the vinyl backing down. The step people miss is ensuring the surface is completely dry first, otherwise the slip-resistant backing cannot grip properly.

What maintenance will this 64031030 mat need over time?

Vacuum on a high-pile setting or shake it out regularly to remove trapped dirt. The 100% polypropylene carpet dries quickly, so no special drying step is required after wet weather.

What limit appears first when the mat sees constant foot traffic?

The polypropylene fibres will gradually lose moisture absorption capacity before the heavy-duty vinyl backing shows wear, reducing the mat’s ability to dry shoes quickly.
