Guardian EcoGuard Diamond Floor Mat 36 x 48 Charcoal

This rectangular entrance mat measures 36 by 48 inches and features a charcoal carpeted surface made from recycled drinking bottles. It is designed for indoor entranceways, hallways, and lobbies but can serve as an outdoor mat in warm to moderate climates. The bi-level construction traps dirt and moisture below the walking surface. A beveled edge and fabric border reduce tripping hazards.

Sustained dirt trapping and wear resistance

The bi-level design continuously captures debris and liquid beneath the 24 oz fibers so the upper surface stays cleaner during heavy foot traffic. Recycled crumb rubber backing sourced from used tires provides a wear-resistant foundation that resists crushing over time. The mat handles daily sweeping, shaking, or vacuuming without degrading the backing or border. It remains stable on hard floors and low-pile carpet.

Replaces single-layer mats lacking recycled content

This mat upgrades basic single-layer mats by adding a dirt-hiding bi-level structure and recycled materials in both the carpet and backing. Facilities managers seeking 24 oz fiber density and rubber-backed durability will notice the improvement. Buyers who need a smaller footprint or a different colour should consider other sizes. It is not suited for high-pile carpet installations.

Questions about this item

How much water can the 24 oz fibres absorb during a wet day?

The 24 oz fibres provide superior absorbency, soaking up rain and melted snow before it reaches the floor.

Does the 36 x 48 charcoal mat need a special adhesive or frame to stay in place?

The recycled crumb rubber backing grips hard floors and low-pile carpet on its own — no adhesive, tape or frame is required.

Will the bi-level surface damage the finish on my older hardwood floor?

The beveled edge and rubber backing are designed to protect hard-surface floors, so the mat sits safely on older wood without scratching.
