Classroom stereo headphones

The Hamilton Buhl PRM100B Primo is an over-ear headset built for students who need clear audio during lessons. Noise-reducing ear cups limit ambient sound so learners stay focused in shared spaces. The adjustable headband and leatherette cushions fit a range of head sizes. A 1.5-metre chew-resistant Dura-Cord survives daily handling.

3.5 mm analogue connection limits

Audio travels through a 3.5 mm TRS stereo plug with a 120-degree angled barrel. No digital processing, battery or wireless link is present, so the headphones work with any device that provides a standard headphone socket. Volume and tonal balance depend entirely on the source output. The thin-barrel plug fits recessed ports on laptops and tablets.

30 mm drivers set the performance ceiling

Each ear cup houses a 30 mm dynamic driver rated at 32 ohms and 100 dB sensitivity. Frequency response spans 50 Hz to 20 kHz, covering speech and music fundamentals but not extended sub-bass. Buyers who want larger drivers, detachable cables or active noise cancellation need a different model.

Questions about this item

Which cord length should I choose for classroom use?

The headphones come with a single 5 ft Dura-Cord that is chew-resistant, PVC-jacketed and braided nylon, so there is no alternative length to select.

What does the 100 dB sensitivity mean for daily listening?

At 100 dB ±4 dB the drivers produce loud, clear audio from low-power sources such as Chromebooks, tablets or phones without needing an external amplifier.

How does the 3.5 mm TRS plug with a 120° angle affect device compatibility?

The 3.5 mm stereo plug fits any standard headphone jack; the right-angle, thin-barrel design reduces strain on the port and works with Chromebooks, PCs, Macs and other 3.5 mm devices.
