Classroom-ready wired headphones

The HamiltonBuhl ST1BK is an over-ear stereo headphone built for daily use in K-12 settings. Its circumaural leatherette cushions and adjustable headband fit a wide range of head sizes for extended listening sessions. A 40 mm driver delivers a 50 Hz to 20 kHz response through a 32 ohm load at 100 dB sensitivity. The 120-degree angled 3.5 mm TRS plug connects to virtually any standard audio jack.

Replaces fragile consumer earbuds

Cheap in-ear models often fail under classroom handling and lack volume control for quick adjustments. The ST1BK adds a Dura-Cord cable with PVC jacket and braided nylon that resists chewing and knotting. In-line volume control lets teachers or students set levels without reaching for the source device. The rugged construction targets multi-year service where disposable buds last weeks.

Fits carts and labs without extra gear

The single 3.5 mm TRS connection needs no batteries, drivers or wireless pairing — plug into a laptop, tablet or media player and work immediately. At 0.37 lb the headset adds negligible weight to charging carts or storage bins. Five feet of cable gives freedom of movement while staying tethered to the device. No Bluetooth or software setup means zero IT overhead for deployment.

Questions about this item

Does the 120-degree angled 3.5mm TRS plug clear a bulky phone case?

The 120-degree angle and thin barrel let the plug seat fully in recessed 3.5mm jacks even when a protective case is fitted.

How do I adjust the headband so it stays in place?

Extend each side until the notches click into the internal detents; the headband then locks and will not slide during use.

Can the leatherette ear cushions be replaced when they wear out?

The cushions are not user-replaceable; the headphone is designed as a single sealed unit for classroom durability.
