3-Inch CPVC Y-Strainer Screen

This replacement screen fits Hayward Y-strainers with a 3 1/2-inch diameter and 6 1/4-inch length. It is built from CPVC material with an FPM seal for chemical resistance. The mesh is rated at 20 mesh with a 587 micron opening. Screen area measures 987.43 square inches.

Simple drop-in replacement

The screen sits inside the existing Y-strainer body so no tools are required beyond opening the housing. Ensure the FPM seal seats evenly to prevent bypass. Debris buildup on the 20 mesh surface is the most common cause of flow restriction.

Verify strainer model and pressure rating

Confirm your Y-strainer matches the 3 1/2-inch diameter and 6 1/4-inch length before ordering. The assembly is rated for 130 psi at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Check that CPVC and FPM materials are compatible with your fluid chemistry.
