Motor Kit Contents

This Hayward Super Pump motor kit pairs a .75HP SP2605X7 motor with an AO Smith UST1072 replacement unit and the GO-KIT-3 accessory pack. The bundle is intended for pool owners who need a complete motor swap with all sealing components included. New condition ensures every part is unused and ready for installation.

Fitment and Exclusions

The kit suits technicians and DIY pool owners replacing a compatible Super Pump motor who want the housing gasket, diffuser O-ring, lid gasket, PS-201 motor seal and silicone packet in one box. Buyers who need a different horsepower rating, a non-Super Pump housing or a motor without the GO-KIT-3 seal set should look at other listings.

Sustained Operation

The AO Smith UST1072 motor is built for continuous pool circulation duty rather than short bursts. Supplied gaskets and the PS-201 seal maintain a tight hydraulic barrier over long run cycles, while the included silicone packet helps preserve seal elasticity during extended seasonal use.

Questions about this item

Does the AO Smith UST1072 motor require a specific Hayward pump housing to operate?

The UST1072 motor is designed for the Hayward Super Pump SP2605X7 housing; it bolts directly to that wet end using the existing mounting pattern.

Will the included PS-201 seal and gaskets fit the diffuser and lid on my existing Super Pump?

The GO-KIT-3 contains the Super Pump housing gasket, diffuser O-ring, lid gasket and PS-201 motor seal, matching the standard Super Pump components.

How can I confirm the 0.75 HP motor is running correctly after installation?

Verify the motor starts without humming, reaches full speed quickly, and delivers strong, steady flow through the returns with no air bubbles in the pump basket.
