Cable ties for 30 lb bundles

These HellermannTyton T30L0C2 cable ties measure 7.8 inches long and 0.14 inches wide. They are made from Polyamide 6.6 and carry a 30 lb tensile strength rating. The pack contains 100 black ties suitable for securing wire bundles in electrical or automotive work.

Operating range and flammability rating

The ties function from -40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C) and meet UL 94 V2 flammability standards. They are halogen free and RoHS compliant. UL recognition covers both US and Canadian requirements for safe use in conduit systems.

Installation features for faster work

Inside serrations give a strong hold on cables while the head design keeps insertion force low. A bent tail allows quick threading and tightening by hand. These features reduce installation time when managing large numbers of wires.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 7.8 inch cable tie and what step do people often miss?

Wrap the tie around the bundle, insert the bent tail into the head, and pull tight; the inside serrations lock automatically, but users sometimes forget to orient the tail so the bent tip enters the head first.

Will the PA66 material degrade and need replacement over time?

The polyamide 6.6 is halogen-free and rated for -40°C to +85°C; it resists embrittlement under normal indoor use, so replacement is only needed if the tie is cut or physically damaged.

What is the first limit reached when the bundle is under constant tension?

The 30 lb tensile strength is the limiting factor; sustained loads approaching that value can cause the tie to stretch or snap before temperature or flammability limits are reached.
