Rain Pants for Wet-Weather Work

These Helly Hansen 70429 480 rain pants are built for workers who need reliable waterproof protection in army green. The PVC and polyester construction meets EN 343 3, 1 standards for heavy rain and wind resistance. They are sized 3XL with a 35 in inseam and 47 in maximum waist, designed to fit over boots and standard workwear.

Pull-On Design with Snap Ankles

An elastic waist and lack of fly closure make the pants quick to pull on over clothing. Snap ankles allow easy adjustment around boot tops without removing footwear. The 35 mil thickness and 14.1 oz fabric weight add stiffness, so new users should expect a break-in period before the material softens. No external pockets mean tools must be carried elsewhere.

EN 343 3, 1 Certification Decides Suitability

The EN 343 3, 1 rating confirms the highest waterproof class and mid-level breathability for sustained wet conditions. Buyers needing high-visibility stripes, ANSI-rated gear or insulated cold-weather protection should look at other models. This specification is the single factor that determines whether the pants match the job-site requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the pants are working as intended after putting them on?

The pants meet EN 343 3, 1 ratings, so they should keep you dry in rain while allowing some breathability; check that the elastic waist and snap ankles seal out water.

What comes in the package and what must I supply myself?

The package contains the rain pants with polyester lining; no extra items are included, so you will need your own boots and base layers.

Which version should I select if I need the 3XL size in Army Green?

Choose the 70429 480 model in 3XL, which has a 35 inch inseam and fits waists up to 47 inches.
