Scale SR-71B for display collectors

This 1/200 diecast model reproduces the Lockheed SR-71B Blackbird in United States Air Force markings from the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Base. It is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. The finish is detailed and true to scale for hobby enthusiasts and collectors.

Verify display space and stand needs

The model measures approximately 6.25 inches long with a 3.25 inch wingspan and includes fixed landing gear. It does not have any openings and no display stand is included, so you will need a separate stand or shelf area that can accommodate the footprint. Confirm the dimensions suit your cabinet or diorama before ordering.

Solid feel suited to shelf life

Diecast metal construction gives the model a heavy, realistic feel that resists bending during handling and long-term display. The fixed landing gear and sealed body mean there are no moving parts to loosen under vibration or dust accumulation. It remains stable as a static piece rather than a toy for repeated play.

Questions about this item

Does the 1/200 scale Lockheed SR-71B Blackbird arrive with a display stand or must I buy one separately?

The model includes landing gear for ground display but does not come with a stand; a separate stand must be purchased if you prefer elevated presentation.

Is the 1/200 scale the only size offered for this Herpa SR-71B "Gumby" release?

The supplier lists only the 1/200 scale version of the "Beale Air Base, Gumby" livery, so that is the sole capacity available for this specific model.

With a 6.25-inch length and 3.25-inch wingspan, will the diecast SR-71B fit inside a standard 1/200 display case?

At 6.25 inches long and 3.25 inches wide, the model matches typical 1/200 case dimensions, so it should fit most standard cases designed for that scale.
