Hetai Tech 2.5 SATA Enclosure

This Hetai Tech enclosure houses a single 2.5 inch SATA drive and connects it to a host via USB 3.0. The metal stripes finish adds a distinctive look to the external chassis. It suits users who want to repurpose an internal drive for portable storage or quick data transfer.

Thermals noise and power draw

The aluminium-style shell helps dissipate heat from the enclosed drive during normal operation. With no built-in fan the unit runs silently in typical use. Power is drawn directly from the USB 3.0 port so no separate adapter is required.

Questions about this item

How do I install a 2.5 SATA drive in the USB 3.0 enclosure?

Open the metal-striped case, connect the drive to the internal SATA connector, secure it with the supplied screws, then close the enclosure and plug the USB cable into your computer.

What maintenance or replacement will the enclosure need later?

The enclosure itself has no moving parts; only the USB cable or the internal SATA connector may wear over time and need replacing.
