One-metre magnetic cable

The Hetai Tech magnetic USB cable is a one-metre charging and sync lead with a magnetic tip that snaps into a Micro USB port. It is aimed at phone users who want a quick single-handed connection, especially in low light where the built-in LED helps locate the port.

Snap-on fitting and dust protection

The magnetic connector plugs into the device once and stays there; the cable then attaches and detaches with a simple tug. This reduces wear on the Micro USB socket and the tip doubles as a dust plug when the cable is removed.

Phones limited to Micro USB and 5 A charging

The lead suits owners of Micro USB handsets that accept up to 5 A from a compatible charger and do not need faster data rates than 480 Mbps. It will not help users whose devices require USB-C, Lightning or higher current standards.

Questions about this item

How do I know the cable is charging my phone at the full 5A rate after I plug it in?

The soft LED indicator on the magnetic connector lights up when power is flowing, and the phone's own charging animation will show the super-fast or VOOC flash-charge label if the handset and original charger both support 5A.

Which connectors and accessories come in the package, and what must I provide myself?

The box contains the 1 m nylon-braided cable with a USB-A plug on one end and a magnetic tip that fits Micro-USB ports; you must supply a compatible USB-A power adapter — preferably the phone's original charger — to reach 5A speeds.

The listing shows Black, Red and Silver — does the colour change any charging spec or data rate?

No, all three colours share the same 5 A maximum current, 480 Mbps sync speed, QC 3.0/2.0, AFC, FCP and SCP support; choose the colour you prefer.
