Four M-Key NVME slots on a PCIe x16 card

This adapter mounts four NVME drives in a single PCIe x16 slot, accepting 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. It is aimed at workstation users who need dense local storage without occupying multiple motherboard M.2 sockets.

Capacity scales to four drives with PH44 switching

Each slot connects through a PH44 bridge so all four drives share the x16 link; bandwidth divides among active devices. The card cannot add lanes beyond what the platform provides, so very heavy simultaneous I/O on all four drives will saturate the upstream connection.

Questions about this item

Will the x16 slot bandwidth limit the four NVME drives I keep from an older build?

The adapter presents four M-key PH44 slots through a single x16 connector, so total throughput depends on the host platform's lane allocation.

How can I verify all four NVME drives are detected after installing the adapter?

Check the system BIOS or operating-system disk manager; each populated M-key slot should appear as a separate NVME device.
