USB 2.0 Smart Card Reader 8-in-1
The Hetai Tech reader handles 5 V, 3 V and 1.8 V smart cards compliant with ISO/IEC 7816 class A, AB and C. It connects through a USB 2.0 interface running at 480 Mbps and requires no external power supply. The device targets users who need to read bank cards, CAC, IC, ID, SIM or DNIE cards on Windows, Linux or Mac systems.
Noble black ABS shell with 1.5 m cable
The housing uses ABS with a baked paint finish in noble black and measures 85 x 65 x 7 mm. A fixed cable about 1.5 m long gives flexibility for desk placement while a red LED shows power and a blue LED signals card activity. The reader is rated for more than 100000 insertions and operates from -20 to 60 °C.
Replaces single-slot or shorter-cable readers
This unit upgrades older readers that support fewer voltage classes or lack PIV, EMS, ISO 7816 and EMV2 2000 level 1 certification. The jump is worthwhile when an application demands simultaneous compatibility with financial, identity and SIM cards across Windows 98 through 10, Linux and Mac OS 10.6 to 10.10. It does not suit buyers who need a compact dongle without a trailing cable.
