Questions about this item

How do I connect the HE400SE's 3.5 mm cable and when do I need the 6.35 mm adapter?

Plug the dual-sided 3.5 mm cable into the left and right cups, then insert the 3.5 mm plug into a portable source; use the supplied 6.35 mm adapter when connecting to studio gear or a desktop amp with a quarter-inch jack.

Which parts of the HE400SE are most likely to wear out and need replacement?

The detachable 3.5 mm cable and the ear pads are the primary consumables; cables can fatigue from repeated bending and pads compress over time, both are user-replaceable.

At what point does the open-back design become the limiting factor during long listening sessions?

Sound leaks out of the open-back cups almost immediately, so the practical limit in shared spaces is reached as soon as the volume disturbs others or outside noise masks quiet passages.
