  • Pair weighs 33.8 g so headband pressure stays low

Leather earpads for HE-series headphones

These protein-leather earpads replace the original pads on any HiFiMAN HE-series model from the HE300 through the HE6. They ship as a pair and restore the seal that affects both comfort and bass response. Buyers who need velour or hybrid pads will not find that option here.

Installation is a simple press-on fit

The pads stretch over the existing mounting ring without tools or adhesives. A mis-aligned pad can leak air and reduce low-frequency output, so seat the lip evenly around the full 105 mm outer diameter. No screws or clips are involved, but the 24 mm thickness may feel tighter on smaller ear cups.

Sustained listening comfort and isolation

The 33.8 g pair distributes weight evenly for long sessions without hot-spots. Protein leather maintains its seal better than porous materials during extended use, keeping bass consistent and external noise attenuated. Pads that compress over time will gradually lose isolation, so plan on periodic replacement for critical listening.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the earpads are seated correctly after fitting them?

The pads should sit flush with the headphone yokes; the inner diameter is 59 mm and outer diameter is 105 mm, so a uniform gap all round means they are mounted properly.

What comes in the package and is anything else required?

The box contains two protein leather earpads weighing 33.8 g together; no extra hardware or adhesive is needed for installation.

Which HE models are these pads designed for?

They fit every HE-series headphone listed — HE400S, 560, 400i, 300, 400, 500, 4, 5, 6 and 5LE — and have been included with HE500 and HE6 accessory bundles since September 7.
