Mechanical pencil for sketching and notes

The HighTide Penco Brass Prime Timber Pencil v2.0 is a lightweight mechanical pencil crafted from high-quality American cedar with brass elements. Its hexagonal shape prevents rolling on flat surfaces. The 2mm B-grade lead made in Japan suits sketching, drawing, and quick idea capture. Each unit ships with one lead piece and a sharpener.

Verify lead size and grade before ordering

Confirm that your workflow uses 2mm leads, as this pencil does not accept thinner standards. The included B-grade graphite is soft; if you prefer harder grades for technical drawing, plan to source compatible 2mm refills separately. The integrated sharpener is sized for the supplied lead diameter only.

Sustained feel and lead consumption

The cedar body and brass fittings maintain a consistent balance during long drawing sessions without becoming slippery. Soft B-grade graphite wears faster than harder grades, so expect more frequent lead advances and refill changes under heavy use. The hexagonal profile continues to resist rolling during pauses.
