Red v2.0 mechanical pencil

The HighTide Penco Brass Prime Timber Pencil v2.0 Red is a lightweight mechanical pencil crafted from high-quality American cedar with brass accents. Its hexagonal barrel prevents rolling on a desk. The design suits sketching, drawing, or quick note-taking for creatives and professionals who value a premium writing instrument.

2mm B-grade Japanese lead

Each pencil includes one piece of 2mm, B-grade lead manufactured in Japan. The soft graphite delivers smooth, dark lines ideal for expressive sketching and effortless writing. Lead is replaceable, so the pencil remains usable long-term, though the single included stick means a spare supply is needed for extended sessions.

Brass sharpener and wooden body

A small brass sharpener is supplied with the pencil for maintaining the 2mm point. The incense cedar body offers a warm, tactile grip but can dent or wear with heavy daily carry. The brass components add weight and durability, yet the overall construction remains a traditional wood-and-metal tool without clutch or auto-feed mechanisms.

Questions about this item

Will the hexagonal brass body sit steadily on a sloped drafting table alongside my older round-barrel pencils?

The hexagonal profile prevents the pencil from rolling on angled surfaces, so it stays put next to round-barrel models.

How can I confirm the 2 mm B-grade lead is feeding correctly after I load it?

Advance the lead until it protrudes slightly, then make a test stroke; smooth, consistent marks show the mechanism is working.

Does the package include spare leads or only the single 2 mm B-grade stick and sharpener shown?

The box contains one 2 mm B-grade lead and a sharpener; additional leads must be purchased separately.
