Penco Prime Timber Pencil v2.0

The Penco Prime Timber Pencil v2.0 is a lightweight mechanical pencil crafted from high-quality California incense cedar. It features a hexagonal barrel that prevents rolling on a desk. The 2mm B-grade lead is made in Japan and suited for sketching or quick notes. Brass hardware adds weight and a satisfying hand feel.

Refilling the pencil

The pencil accepts standard 2mm lead refills, which are inserted by removing the brass cap at the rear. A small sharpener is included with each unit for maintaining the point. Users should take care not to overtighten the cap, as the wood threads can strip with excessive force. The hexagonal shape keeps the pencil stable while changing the lead.

Extended writing sessions

The cedar barrel remains comfortable during long periods of use because the wood warms to the hand and absorbs moisture. The B-grade graphite lays down a smooth, consistent line without requiring heavy pressure. Brass components retain their finish and do not become slippery with prolonged handling. The fixed sleeve protects the lead from snapping under sustained writing force.
