Hilngav S18-1 Red LED 6-Pack

The Hilngav S18-1 is a six-pack of compact red LED flashlights built for users who need to preserve night vision during astronomy, aviation, hunting or camping. Each unit measures 3.34 inches long and weighs 0.29 kilograms with batteries installed. The cylindrical aluminium body carries a simple on/off switch and a wrist lanyard for secure carry.

Single-Mode Simplicity Over Multi-Mode Complexity

These lights replace multi-mode torches that cycle through brightness levels or strobe functions when a single steady red beam is all that is required. The jump is worth it when you want instant activation without memorising button sequences or accidentally ruining dark adaptation with a bright white flash. Eighteen AAA zinc-carbon cells are included so the set works straight from the package.

Pocket-Sized Aluminium Bodies For Kit Bags

The 3.34-inch length lets each flashlight slide into a shirt pocket, telescope accessory case or vehicle glove compartment without adding bulk. Aluminium construction resists dents from drops on hard ground while the lanyard prevents loss during active use. The lights are not water resistant so they need a dry pouch in wet conditions, and the fixed single mode means they cannot serve as a general-purpose white-light torch.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of each flashlight so I can check if they fit in my pocket or pouch?

Each flashlight measures 0.95 inches in length, 0.95 inches in width, and 3.34 inches in height, weighing 0.29 kilograms with a cylindrical aluminum body.

How do I install the batteries correctly, and what is the common mistake to avoid?

Unscrew the tail cap, insert the three included AAA zinc-carbon batteries with the positive ends facing the LED head, then tighten the cap fully; the common error is reversing the battery polarity which prevents the light from turning on.

When will I need to replace the batteries, and what type should I buy?

The included 18 AAA zinc-carbon batteries provide up to four hours of continuous runtime; replace them with standard AAA alkaline cells when the red LED output dims noticeably.
