Ultra-short-throw 3LCD projector

The Hitachi CP-AX2503 is an ultra-short-throw 3LCD business projector designed for classrooms and meeting rooms where space is limited. Its short throw distance allows large images from a very close position, reducing shadows and glare for presenters. Native XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 suits standard business content.

Sustained brightness and contrast

Rated at 2700 lumens with a 5000:1 contrast ratio, the projector maintains consistent output during extended sessions. The 3LCD engine delivers stable colour balance without the rainbow effect sometimes seen in single-chip designs. Built-in speakers provide basic audio without external hardware.

XGA native resolution decides fit

The fixed 1024 x 768 panel means the projector cannot display higher-detail sources pixel-for-pixel. Buyers needing Full HD or widescreen native resolution should look elsewhere. HDMI and VGA inputs accept 1080p signals, which are scaled to the native grid.

Questions about this item

How loud is the fan when the CP-AX2503 runs for a full day?

The projector uses a 3LCD engine rated at 2700 lumens and 5000:1 contrast; typical business models in this class run their cooling fans at a low hum that stays consistent during extended use.

Which cables or sources must I already have to connect the CP-AX2503?

It provides HDMI, two VGA D-sub 15-pin inputs, composite RCA, three USB ports and an RJ-45 network jack, so you need a matching cable for whichever source you plan to use.

Will the CP-AX2503 display correctly from an older laptop that only outputs 1024 x 768?

Yes — its native resolution is 1024 x 768 (XGA), so a legacy laptop at that resolution maps pixel-for-pixel without scaling.
