Ultra Short Throw Projector

The Hitachi CP-AX2503 is a 3LCD business projector designed for ultra short throw placement, allowing large images from a very short distance. It delivers 2700 lumens brightness and a native 1024 x 768 XGA resolution with 4:3 aspect ratio. HDMI, LAN, RS232, VGA, composite and three USB ports provide flexible connectivity for meeting rooms and classrooms.

Meeting rooms and classrooms needing close placement

This model suits presenters who must project big pictures in tight spaces without casting shadows on the screen. Built-in speakers, ceiling, rear and table-top modes add installation versatility. Buyers who need native widescreen resolution or higher contrast for dark-room video should look elsewhere.

Native 1024 x 768 resolution decides fit

The panel physically contains 1024 by 768 pixels, so 1080p sources are scaled to this grid. If your content relies on full 1080p pixel-for-pixel detail, this projector cannot reproduce it. Verify that your primary source material matches the native XGA grid before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How often will the lamp in this CP-AX2503 need replacing?

The lamp is rated for typical business projector life; expect replacement after several thousand hours of use, depending on brightness mode and operating conditions.

What limits continuous operation of the 2700-lumen 3LCD engine?

Heat buildup is the first constraint; the ultra-short-throw optics concentrate light output, so sustained full-brightness running requires adequate ventilation around the intake and exhaust vents.

How much fan noise and heat does the unit produce during all-day use?

The cooling fans run continuously at a moderate level; the exhaust air is warm but not extreme, and the built-in speakers remain audible over the background airflow in a typical meeting room.
