Portable DLP projector for meetings

The Hitachi CP-DX300 is a DLP business projector weighing 4.8 lbs. It delivers 3000 to 3500 lumens brightness with a native 1024 x 768 resolution. HD video mode supports 1080p input and the unit includes HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video and RS-232 connections.

Suits travelling presenters, not fixed installs

This model fits professionals who move between meeting rooms and need quick setup with multiple legacy and digital inputs. Buyers requiring higher native resolution for detailed graphics or very high contrast for dark-room cinema should look at other options.

Native 1024 x 768 resolution decides fit

The panel's 1024 x 768 pixel count determines on-screen sharpness for text and spreadsheets. If your content demands more pixels than this native grid provides, the projector will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I rely on the 1024x768 native resolution or the 1080p HD video mode for my presentations?

The projector displays 1024x768 natively; 1080p signals are accepted and scaled to that grid, so fine detail in full-HD sources will be softened.

How bright will the 3000-3500 lumen rating look in a typical meeting room with lights on?

At 3000-3500 lumens the image stays readable with moderate ambient light, though direct sunlight on the screen will still wash it out.

Which of the HDMI, VGA, RCA, S-Video or RS-232 ports should I use for a modern laptop?

Use HDMI for digital video and audio from current laptops; VGA remains for legacy analogue sources, while RCA, S-Video and RS-232 serve older AV gear or control systems.
