Replacement Lamp for Hitachi CP-X401
This new aftermarket lamp and housing module is built for the Hitachi CP-X401 projector. It ships as a complete assembly so the installer does not need to handle a bare bulb. The unit is rated new and carries a 90-day warranty from the lamp supplier.
Upgrading from a Dim or Failed Lamp
The module replaces the original lamp when brightness has dropped or the projector signals end of life. A swap is worth it when the image looks dull even at full power or the replacement warning will not clear. It restores rated output without changing any projector settings.
Tool-Free Installation and Common Pitfalls
The housing slides into the projector lamp bay and locks with the existing latch; no extra tools are required. Allow the old lamp to cool completely before removal to avoid burns or housing damage. Do not touch the new bulb glass with bare fingers, and reset the lamp timer in the menu after fitting the module.

Questions about this item
Will this lamp-and-housing module fit the Hitachi CP-X401 projector?
Yes, the CP-X401-LAMP-A is engineered specifically for the Hitachi CP-X401 model, so the housing aligns with the projector's lamp compartment and the connector matches the original socket.
What is the correct installation step that owners often skip?
After sliding the module into the CP-X401, tighten the captive screws on the housing and then reset the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu; skipping the reset triggers a premature replacement warning.
When should the lamp be replaced again under typical use?
The manufacturer warrants the lamp for 90 days; beyond that, plan on a new module when the on-screen timer approaches the projector's rated lamp life or when brightness noticeably drops.
