What this lamp replaces

The Jaspertronics DT00231 lamp-and-housing module is a new OEM replacement for Hitachi projectors using the 456-206 lamp code. It fits the CP-S860, CP-S960, CP-S970W, CP-X958, CP-X960, CP-X970, DP-6850 and dv340 models. Buyers who need a different lamp code or a bare bulb without housing should look elsewhere.

Installation and fit

The unit arrives as a complete lamp-and-housing assembly, so no separate cage or tools are required for installation. It slides into the projector's existing lamp compartment and restores the original light path. The package contains one module per pack.

Thermals and power

The module uses a Ushio lamp designed to the projector's factory specifications, so operating temperature, fan noise and power draw remain identical to the original lamp. No additional cooling or electrical changes are needed.

Questions about this item

How long will the Ushio lamp inside the DT00231 housing last before brightness drops under continuous projection?

The Ushio lamp in the DT00231 module is built to original specifications for reliable performance, but the supplier data does not publish a rated hour figure for brightness decay under sustained use.

Does the DT00231 lamp housing run hot or loud enough to need extra cooling after hours of operation?

The DT00231 is a direct-fit lamp-and-housing assembly weighing .9990 kg; it uses the projector’s existing cooling design and adds no fan or heat-pipe of its own.

Which Hitachi projector models accept the DT00231 without any adapter or extra parts?

The DT00231 fits CP-S860, CP-S960, CP-S970W, CP-X958, CP-X960, CP-X970, DP-6850 and dv340 projectors straight from the box.
