Replacement lamp for Hitachi CP-HX2175 projectors

This genuine-compatible 180 W lamp module arrives with the UHB bulb already fitted inside its housing, so it installs in a single step. It is built for owners of the CP-HX2175 who need a factory-specification light source without sourcing the original DT00731 part number. The unit is supplied new and tested to ISO 9001 quality checks for ignition, voltage and beam performance.

Rated output over the full 2 000-hour service life

The 180 W UHB lamp maintains consistent brightness from first ignition through the rated 2 000 hours, avoiding the rapid lumen drop seen in short-burst tests. Colour balance and focus stability are verified across the entire runtime, so presentations and classroom sessions stay uniform without mid-cycle recalibration. Each module passes run-time validation before it leaves the factory.

Thermal behaviour and power draw in normal operation

At the rated 180 W the lamp runs within the thermal envelope designed for the CP-HX2175 chassis, so the projector’s existing cooling system handles heat without extra fan noise. Power consumption stays steady at the specified wattage, eliminating surges that could stress the ballast. The housing design matches OEM airflow paths, keeping operating temperatures in the range the projector expects.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 180W lamp draw and how hot does it run during all-day use?

The lamp is rated at 180 watts. Projectors with this lamp typically run their cooling fans continuously; expect warm exhaust air and normal fan noise during extended sessions.

Does the CP-HX2175 module arrive fully assembled so I only need the projector itself?

Yes. The unit includes a new 180W UHB bulb already mounted in its housing, so no extra parts or tools are required beyond the compatible Hitachi projector.

Will this DT00731 lamp work in my older Hitachi projector that originally used the same 180W 2000-hour specification?

The CP-HX2175 / DT00731 module is built to the original 180W, 2000-hour spec. If your older model lists that exact lamp code, it will fit and ignite correctly.
