What this lamp replaces

This is a new 180W replacement projector lamp module built for the Hitachi CP-X255W. It arrives as a fully assembled bulb and housing so the projector is ready to run again without extra assembly steps.

The spec that decides fit

The lamp uses a Philips UHB 180W bulb rated for 2,000 hours of operation, matching the original equipment specification for the CP-X255W. If your projector requires a different wattage or lamp life this module will not be compatible.

Install and common issues

Installation is straightforward because the bulb and housing come pre-assembled; you only need to remove the old module and insert the new one. The most frequent problem is forgetting to reset the lamp-hour counter after replacement, which leaves the projector showing an expired-lamp warning.
