Genuine Philips UHP 215 W bulb in a pre-assembled housing, rated 5,000 hours normal or 6,000 hours economy, for straightforward replacement in compatible Hitachi projectors
This lamp module fits the Hitachi CP-X4042 projector and uses the manufacturer part number DT01431. It arrives as a complete assembly with the Philips UHP bulb already seated in its housing so installation requires no separate handling of the bare lamp. The unit is supplied new and built to ISO 9001 quality standards.
In normal mode the lamp is rated for 5000 hours of operation and the economy setting extends that to 6000 hours. The 215 watt UHP light source delivers the brightness the projector was designed for while the lower-power economy mode reduces heat output and fan noise during less demanding presentations. Power draw follows the selected mode without additional configuration.
When the existing lamp reaches end of life or suffers a premature failure this module restores the projector to its factory light output. The jump is worth it if the current image has become noticeably darker, colour balance has shifted, or the projector warns that lamp hours are exhausted. It is not a brightness upgrade for users who need higher lumen output than the CP-X4042 originally provided.

The module arrives fully assembled with housing, so you only need to open the projector lamp door, remove the old unit, slide the new one in until it seats firmly, then close the door and reset the lamp timer in the menu — skipping the timer reset is the step most users forget.
The lamp is rated for 5000 hours in normal mode or 6000 hours in economy mode; once brightness drops near those limits you simply replace the entire module again, as no separate filter or bulb-only service is required.
The 215 watt UHP bulb reaches its rated 5000 hour normal-mode lifespan first, after which light output declines and the projector will prompt for a lamp change.
