190 Watt UHB Lamp Limits

The 190W UHB bulb delivers a rated life of 2000 hours under normal operating conditions. Brightness will gradually decline as the lamp approaches this limit and the projector will require a new module to maintain image quality.

2000 Hour Rated Life

The 2000-hour rating is the key specification for planning maintenance cycles and budgeting replacements. Buyers who need longer intervals between lamp changes should consider projectors that support higher-life light sources.

Questions about this item

Which of the four CP-X5W lamp versions should I choose?

Three OEM versions use bulbs from Philips, Osram, Ushio, Phoenix, Iwasaki or Matsushita, including the original Philips UHB 190W bulb. The fourth is a compatible lamp built with genuine OEM parts. All meet ISO 9001 standards and are tested for ignition, voltage, beam performance and run-time.

What does the 190 watt rating mean for my projector?

The lamp draws 190 watts during operation, matching the power requirement of the Hitachi CP-X5W projector. This ensures correct brightness and colour balance without overloading the projector's power supply.

What does the 2000 hour lamp life figure mean in practice?

The 2000 hour rating is the manufacturer's estimated time to half brightness under typical use. Actual hours vary with power cycles, ventilation and operating mode. The lamp module includes a new Philips UHB bulb and housing for direct replacement.
