Genuine compatible 180W replacement lamp module with 2,000-hour life for easy Hitachi projector installation
This 180W UHB lamp module fits Hitachi projectors that use the ED-X8255 designation. It arrives as a complete bulb-and-housing assembly, so no separate handling of the bare bulb is required. The unit is manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards using OEM-sourced components. It restores original brightness and colour performance for classroom, meeting-room or home-cinema installations.
The lamp draws 180W during operation, a figure matched to the projector's original power supply and cooling design. Standard projector airflow keeps the module within its thermal limits without additional noise. Rated life is 2,000 hours under typical cycling, after which brightness gradually declines. No extra power or cooling provisions are needed beyond the host projector's stock configuration.
This lamp replaces a dimmed or failed original module in compatible Hitachi models, returning image quality to factory specification. It is not suited for users who need a higher-wattage or longer-life alternative than the 180W, 2,000-hour rating provides. Buyers whose projectors require a different lamp code or form factor should verify the exact model number before ordering.

Remove the old module, insert the new 180 W assembly until it clicks, then reset the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu; skipping the reset makes the projector think the old lamp is still fitted.
The lamp itself is not serviceable; once brightness drops near the 2000-hour mark you replace the entire DT00731 module.
Heat buildup triggers the projector's thermal protection before the 2000-hour rating is reached, causing automatic shutdown until the unit cools.
