Hitachi UX41161 Air Filter

The Hitachi UX41161 is a replacement air filter designed for specific DLP projectors. It prevents dust from reaching optical components inside the unit. The part fits Dukane models 456-9845WU, 456-8960W, ImagePro 8945WU, and ImagePro 895. It weighs 0.2500 units.

Sustained Cooling Protection

A clean filter maintains airflow so the cooling fan operates at intended efficiency during long sessions. When the filter clogs, fan effectiveness drops and internal heat builds up, shortening projector and lamp life. Regular replacement every three months or at each lamp change prevents this thermal stress. Visual inspection confirms when buildup has become excessive.

Model-Specific Compatibility

This filter only fits the Dukane projectors listed in the specifications. It will not install in other Hitachi or third-party models. Some units display a filter warning icon when replacement is needed; others require manual inspection. Using the correct part ensures the seal and airflow path match the original design.

Questions about this item

How much extra heat does the UX41161 filter add when the projector runs all day?

The filter itself generates no heat; it only allows airflow so the existing cooling system can maintain normal operating temperatures.

Which specific projector models must I already own for the UX41161 filter to fit?

Compatible models are Dukane 456-9845WU, 456-8960W, ImagePro 8945WU and ImagePro 895.

Will the UX41161 filter work correctly in an older Dukane projector that has accumulated dust on its optical elements?

Yes, replacing a clogged filter restores proper airflow and helps protect the lamp and optics from further heat buildup.
