DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 Limits

Each DisplayPort channel handles up to 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz while the HDMI channel reaches 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz. Bandwidth above those rates is not supported and higher refresh rates at 8K will not display. Systems requiring more than three simultaneous monitors are outside the switch capability.

Installation and Common Issues

Connect the 12 V adapter, link each monitor to the three output ports, then run one HDMI, two DisplayPort and one USB 3.0 cable from every computer to its matching input group. The front push buttons and wired remote both change the active PC. Missing any video or USB cable for a port leaves that computer without video or peripheral control.
