Dual-Monitor KVM for Two PCs

This Hitoor USB 3.0 KVM switch lets two computers share one keyboard, one mouse and two monitors. Each system connects through one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4 and one USB 3.0 cable. The unit supports 4K at 120 Hz via DisplayPort and 4K at 60 Hz via HDMI, plus lower resolutions such as 2K at 144 Hz. No external power supply is required and the switch works driver-free on Windows, Linux and Chrome OS.

Build Integration and Peripheral Sharing

Four USB 3.0 ports on the switch provide up to 5 Gbps bandwidth for keyboards, mice, printers or scanners, eliminating the need to unplug devices when changing systems. Switching between the two connected PCs is done either by the front-panel button or the included 1.5 m wired remote. LED indicators show which computer is active. Each computer must support dual-screen output and provide both an HDMI and a DisplayPort video output.

Resolution Headroom and Limits

The DisplayPort output handles 4K at 120 Hz and 3440 x 1440 at 144 Hz, while the HDMI output reaches 4K at 60 Hz and 2K at 144 Hz. Both ports are downward-compatible with 1080p at 60 Hz. The switch does not support MacBook M1 or M2 chips, and audio pass-through is not available. Using certified 8K cables is recommended to avoid flicker or black-screen issues at the highest refresh rates.

Questions about this item

What resolution and refresh rate does the DisplayPort 1.4 output sustain when both monitors run all day?

The DP 1.4 port supports 4K at 120 Hz and 3440 x 1440 at 144 Hz; HDMI 2.0 is limited to 4K at 60 Hz.

Does the unit need a fan or external power brick to stay cool during continuous operation?

No additional power supply is required and the spec lists no fan; the switch draws power from the connected computers via USB 3.0.

Which cables must already be on hand so each computer can drive both monitors through the switch?

Each PC needs one HDMI cable, one DisplayPort cable and one USB 3.0 cable — three cables per computer — to connect to the KVM.
