USB 3.0 dual-band adapter

This Hitoor USB 3.0 Wi-Fi adapter delivers AC1200 wireless speeds through a detachable dual-antenna design. It connects via a USB 3.0 interface and includes a 70 cm extension cradle for flexible desktop placement. The adapter supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for compatible routers.

Desktop users needing extended range

The dual 5 dBi antennas suit desktop PCs or laptops where internal Wi-Fi is weak or missing, and the USB 3.0 link avoids the bottleneck of older 2.0 ports. Buyers whose devices only offer USB 2.0 will not gain the stated throughput advantage, and anyone requiring Bluetooth connectivity should look elsewhere.

USB 3.0 interface with AC1200 rating

The single specification that decides fit is the USB 3.0 connection combined with the AC1200 class, providing up to 867 Mbps on 5.8 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.42 GHz. Verify the host has a free USB 3.0 port; otherwise the adapter will fall back to slower speeds.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the adapter is delivering up to 867 Mbps on the 5.8 GHz band after installation?

Check the connection properties in your operating system; the link speed should show up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band when associated with an AC1200 router.

What accessories are included and is a separate driver download needed?

The box contains the WiFi dongle, a CD driver, a manual, a USB cradle and a 70 cm extension cable; the CD provides the driver, so no separate download is required unless you prefer the latest version.

Which antenna setup should I choose for maximum range on a desktop PC?

Use the supplied dual 5 dBi detachable antennas with SMA connectors on the included cradle and 70 cm extension cable to position them for best signal reception.
