HO computer hardware Solid State Relay SSR-40DA 40A 24V 220V AC

SKU CH-J364-RJ88A

A 40 A solid-state relay switches 220 V AC loads with 24 V DC control and an integrated heatsink

  • 40 A switching capacity handles heavy AC loads
  • 24 V DC control voltage suits low-voltage logic circuits
  • 220 V AC output rating matches mains-powered equipment
  • Integrated radiator and rail mount simplify installation and cooling

Solid-State Relay 40 A AC Switching

This solid-state relay handles up to 40 A of alternating-current load with a 24 V control input and 220 V output rating. The integrated radiator and card-rail mounting simplify installation inside server power-supply chassis. It suits engineers who need silent, bounce-free switching for heating elements, motors or lighting circuits. The 40 A variant is one of several current ratings available in the same form factor.

Thermal Behaviour Under Continuous Load

The built-in radiator dissipates heat generated during prolonged conduction, letting the relay sustain its rated current without forced-air assistance in typical server airflow. Thermal resistance remains stable across repeated duty cycles, so performance does not degrade during extended operation. Installers should still verify enclosure ventilation matches the application’s ambient temperature. Buyers needing higher continuous currents must select the 60 A, 80 A, 100 A or 120 A models instead.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 40A solid state relay generate during continuous operation?

The integrated radiator card rail is built into the SSR-40DA to dissipate heat while the relay switches 220V AC loads at up to 40A.

What control voltage must I already have available to drive this SSR-40DA?

The module requires a 24V DC control signal to switch the AC output.
