Scale and subject

This is a 1/32 scale diecast model of the Douglas SBD-5 Dauntless bomber flown by VB-16 from USS Lexington in 1943. Hobby Master produced it as a premium collectible for adult enthusiasts of military aviation history. The replica uses diecast metal and plastic construction to deliver a heavy, realistic feel. Detailed panel lines, antennas and access panels recreate the authentic appearance of the wartime aircraft.

Collector fit

The model suits collectors who value accurate scale replicas with functional details such as an opening canopy and detachable ordnance loads. A pilot figure is included to enhance display realism. Buyers who need a display stand included in the package should look elsewhere, as none is supplied. The officially licensed status appeals to those seeking manufacturer-authorised accuracy.

Decisive specification

The 1/32 scale dictates the physical footprint of the model at approximately 12.5 inches long with a 15.25 inch wingspan. This size determines the shelf or cabinet space required for proper display. Verify that your available area accommodates these dimensions before purchase. The scale also fixes the level of detail visible on panel lines and surface features.
