Scale & Subject

This is a 1/72 scale diecast model of the Lockheed F-16AM Fighting Falcon worn by Royal Netherlands Air Force 313 Squadron during its 2008 Afghanistan deployment. The Air Power Series replica arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging and is built from diecast metal with plastic parts for a weighty, realistic feel.

Collectors & Display Focus

The model suits collectors who want an officially licensed, highly detailed aircraft replica with accurate panel lines, antennas and surface details. It includes a display stand and missile accessories, plus an opening canopy for added realism. Buyers who need a larger scale, a different squadron marking or a kit that requires assembly should look elsewhere.

Decisive Specification

The 1/72 scale fixes the finished size at roughly 8.25 inches long with a 5.25 inch wingspan, so the model fits standard display shelves but will not match larger-scale collections.

Questions about this item

What display space do I need for the 8.25-inch length and 5.25-inch wingspan?

Allow at least 8.25 inches of length and 5.25 inches of width on a shelf or cabinet top; the included stand holds the model at a slight angle so the footprint is roughly those dimensions.

Will the 1/72 scale match my existing 1/72 diecast aircraft collection?

Yes, it is built to 1/72 scale so it will sit consistently alongside other 1/72 military aircraft models in a display case.

How can I verify the canopy opens and the missile accessories fit correctly after unboxing?

Gently lift the canopy hinge — it should swing open smoothly — then attach each supplied missile to the under-wing pylons; they click into place when seated properly.
