Scale and subject

This 1/72 diecast model reproduces the Lockheed F-35B Lightning II in the markings of VMFA-242 Bats at Iwakuni, Japan. The 2024 Air Power Series release carries the bureau number 169623 and arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. It is intended for adult collectors and military-aviation enthusiasts who value accurate scale representation.

Upgrade from simpler models

The diecast metal and plastic construction adds weight and durability that lighter plastic kits lack. An opening canopy and included missile accessories provide display options not found on basic static replicas. The jump is worth it when a collector wants licensed detail, realistic panel lines and a supplied stand in a single boxed piece.

Collectors seeking a ready-made replica

Buyers who want a pre-assembled, officially licensed F-35B with accurate squadron markings will find this model suitable. Builders who prefer to construct and paint their own kits, or hobbyists who need a different scale or variant, should look at other product lines.
