Thunderbirds 1973-74 F-4E Phantom II

This officially licensed 1/72 scale diecast model replicates the McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II flown by the USAF Thunderbirds during the 1973/74 season. It includes decals for aircraft numbers one through seven. The model is aimed at adult collectors and military history enthusiasts seeking a display-accurate representation.

Diecast construction with opening canopy

The airframe uses diecast metal and plastic for a heavy, realistic feel and durability. A detailed exterior features realistic panel lines, antennas, and access panels. The canopy opens to reveal an included pilot figure, while detachable landing gear allows a choice of ground or flight display configurations. A display stand is included for shelf mounting.

Upgrades earlier Phantom displays

This release replaces older, less detailed Phantom II models with true-to-scale proportions and authentic Thunderbirds squadron markings. The jump is worth it for collectors who want accurate 1973/74 season decals and features like an opening canopy and pilot figure. Buyers needing larger scales or different variants should look elsewhere.

A dedicated display stand is supplied in the box so the aircraft can be shown in a flying attitude without extra parts.
